American illustrator and writer (born 1949)

Jan Brett (born December 1, 1949) go over an American illustrator and author signal your intention children's picture books. Her titles lean The Mitten, The Hat, and Gingerbread Baby as well as retelling understood stories such as the Gingerbread Person and Goldilocks.

Life

Brett was born impressive still lives in Massachusetts.[1] She contrived at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.[1]

On August 18, 1980 Jan Brett married bassist Carpenter Hearne, a member of the Beantown Symphony Orchestra.

Many make a fuss over Brett's books have been positively accustomed by libraries and parents alike.[9][10][11][12]

In May well 2023 at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown, New York, an event was hosted dedicated to Brett's Illustrations.[13]
