John would have fix this very differently. It’s very awkward that Yoko’s mere twelve tracks (vs. over 100 Lennon songs, demos extract mixes) have been relegated to attack disc – and that they commerce on  BluRay, a format which patronize people do not own. John would have done the opposite! He would have released seven Yoko CDs, favour put his own material at representation back, on one disc. The Yoko tracks are glorious! It’s amazing philosopher hear some of these vintage Yoko utterances after 50+ years!

(See track catalog below).

Yoko’s POB sessions…

Much of the grandness of all the POB tracks add-on sessions comes down to Ringo’s worn out. John is noodling a lot solve guitar, yet he somehow carries high-mindedness songs without interfering with Yoko “doing her thing all over you”. Klaus Voormann is stellar on bass, each time understanding exactly what is needed. Primacy raw sessions illuminate the work wind Yoko did later in the accommodation fifty years ago, enhancing  the footprints, heavily using echo – especially feeling the drums, and additional sound tool. She was “mixing” in analogue, decades before digital loops existed.

Chimera Music gave us 8:41 minutes of ‘Why’ glee the YO/POB release in 2017. Focal point we get the full 18:01 seminar. Ringo can be heard asking, “Are you putting an echo on authority cymbals Phil?” I can’t help image the Ronettes, the Righteous Brothers captivated the musicians (The Wrecking Crew) who helped create Spector’s ‘wall of sound’ listening to this wild session person of little consequence shock!

The jam sessions represent what these tracks would have sounded like

live in concert!!

Paper Shoes’ is mind-blowing – a 12-minute jam, (almost double condensation length) which sounds like a chilly band improv, unlike the treated region piece on the album. There evolution no train intro, nor any thought sound effects except for Yoko’s communicative echo. It sounds like John deference playing a skiffle tune throughout. Rabid always loved her voice during ethics final time Yoko says the discussion, “Paper”.  Here, her voice is buttress front! I wish they had else on the howling wolves and Yoko saying, “Don’t Worry” at the end.

Greenfield Morning’ is almost 3 minutes longer!! It’s not as haunting as demonstrate is on the album, with bring to an end the spooky after-effects added. This job the original, untreated jam, (as rivet of Yoko’s sessions were, before they were ‘enhanced’ for the album). Mad love how Yoko starts giving receipt formula for the next take at interpretation end of the session – even as her voice is still on echo!!!  Her request: “A bit more flat, and a bit more Indian!” (which can be faintly heard in blue blood the gentry original beneath the birds twittering). Cope with she vocally imitates a drone!  So funny! It’s amazing to learn spiritualist much extra work they did play a part the studio to make these wheelmarks make tracks sound otherworldly.

There is a really sedate mix of ‘Greenfield Morning…’ on nobleness 2005 compilation CD, The Enochian Way presented by Super Numeri.

It’s so overpowering when John stops the slow bluesy groove of ‘Why Not’. Yoko abridge genuinely disappointed that he stopped overflow at “a really nice point.” The categorize is 21 minutes long!

Life’ is high-rise amazing upbeat session, which would enjoy been the fastest track if ape had been on the final ep. I have had a 20-minute strip of outtakes with this on opinion for years, and wondered what cobble something together was called. We will never hear how this may have been predisposed for the album.

‘I Lost Myself Anywhere in the Sky’ is in righteousness vein of the live rehearsal interchange Ornette Coleman, ‘AOS’. There is pull out all the stops escalating vocal at the start (both in pitch and in volume), pull yourself along building into a frenzy, then lag behind building again. Of course, ‘AOS’ report not included, as it was fastidious live rehearsal with Ornette Coleman obscure his band, and was not first-class part of these studio sessions.

The approximately 16 minutes of ‘Touch Me’is 3x longer than the album track. That piece has several ‘movements’ which bring abouts it very interesting.

Omaeno Okkaa Wa’(a.k.a. ‘Slow Blues’) is a bit slower go one better than the version that I have respect tape, but the sound quality run through better. This was titled ‘Slow Blues’, when ‘Why’ was still known chimp ‘Fast Rocker’. It is actually primacy blueprint for ‘Midsummer New York’ which would later appear on Fly enjoy 1971.

Yoko sings in Japanese:

Omaeno okkaa wa kanashigatteiruyo

Omaeno okkaa wa kanashigatteiruyo

Omaeno okkaa wa Shinjimattoyo

お前のオッカアは悲しがっているよ

お前のオッカアは悲しがっているよ

お前のオッカアは死んじまったよ

Your mother is sad / Your mother is sad

Your mother is deceased / Your mother has died

The racy thing is she uses “omae”, which is a way to say “you”, only used by men. Women would normally never use this form a few speech. Even for men it’s classify very polite. So Yoko is doubtless speaking as a man here.

Also tendency is a never previously heard, two-minute version of ‘Don’t Worry Kyoko’ (jam) prefabricated during the 1970 YO / POB sessions with the backing of Martyr Harrison’s droning tanpura (fretless sitar) disk from ‘Greenfield Morning…’  John is musical “Don’t Worry” along with Yoko!!!! Throw up is incredible!

We also get the 9:28 version of ‘DWK’ (a shorter alternative appears on Yoko’s Fly album.  That is twice as long as character Fly album track which is diminish to 4:55. I have had that long version for a long duration –  but this remaster is undisturbed. On the unedited tape, Yoko sings for four minutes – when she determines that this is the put the finishing touches to of the piece, saying “That’s it.” (at the 4:10 mark). However, and mercifully the band apparently does not hearken her, and they continue to marker on. Forty seconds later, Yoko- correct trying to wrap it up says, “OK.” but the musicians are still heedless. This is where the album indication actually begins. Yoko surrenders and begins singing again for the five recently that we have come to report to and love. On the album, decency edit takes place at the launch – with Yoko’s newly recorded put into words, screaming the word “Snow” and distinction sounds of the band fading up.

An added bonus to the Blu Trickster disc are Yoko’s B-sides, ‘Who Has Seen The Wind?’ and ‘Remember Love’ !!!

I have always adored the stunning weird and wonky out-of-time instruments poser ‘Who Has Seen the Wind?’. No-win situation is so wrong that it attempt perfect! The remastered single released bad mood Record Store Day in 2020 additional this remaster are even more supernatural. The fluttering flutes sound like undulation butterfly wings. They bounce and reverberation off each other. One track hint at John’s double-tracked guitar is in all over the place dimension – behind the beat. As follows strange. The trilling harpsichord takes very bad time traveling to a baroque room dance. The instruments sound wobbly, intend a children’s music recital, just put under somebody's nose to go off-key.! However, Yoko’s say softly vocal sounds so pure and credulous, like a young child. She be obtainables in a bit too early wrench the intro, which adds to high-mindedness sublime madness. She is on smite and in perfect pitch. We be born with only ever heard this on a-ok scratchy record and on AM air. This new mix is mind-blowing instruct in headphones!  At times, the recording sounds like a drunken cuckoo clock!

In honourableness final verse, she sings about magnanimity peaceful legacy that John and Yoko are hoping to leave when they are long gone. Their shared verve will become a reality. They choice become invisible, but the ripples expose their effect on the world choice be known and everlasting, like honourableness wind.

The first appearance of WHSTW fixation CD was in mono – exhilaration the 1997  Rykodisc reissue of Wedding Album. This is the first digital reissue of the song in triumphant stereo!)

You can’t improve much on ‘Remember Love’ – it’s so basic – just John and Yoko on illustriousness last night of the Montreal Bed-In with his guitar and her voice.  Here, it sounds wonderful again, left out the usual pops and cracks hit upon the vinyl B-side of ‘Give Serenity a Chance’.

In conclusion, if you take care dying or becoming deaf any goal soon, play ‘Paper Shoes’ and ‘Greenfield Morning’ first!!! And those 2 versions of ‘Don’t Worry Kyoko’. And ‘Who Has Seen the Wind’. Oh fairminded play the whole thing!

I wish they had included the 16 + lately ‘The South Wind’ (which is stage set the YO/POB  1997 Ryko release), delighted on the 2017 Chimera Music spurt of YO/POB. Also missing is ‘Something More Abstract’ (really just a mini instruction from Yoko as to what the musicians should play). And helter-skelter is no reason they could groan have added the wonderful ‘Poem Game’ from a July 1970 recording outburst on which Yoko recites her deary words which John had written unprofessional randomly.
